lace and a short history lesson
a bra not for support but for beauty.
this photo made me curious about the history of lace and lace-making.
sooo...lace-making. The craft may have begun in the first half of the 14th century in Flanders (Now on the border between France and Belgium). Lace was used by clergy of the early Catholic Church as part of vestments in religious ceremonies, but did not come into widespread use until the 16th century. and there you have it.
bike chain chandeliers
via apartment therapy. i have seen a lot of bike parts turned into useful things but these are pretty amazing looking. bottom two images are my favorite. also apartment therapy is a pretty neato place for interesting inspiration.

accessories, love em.
out running last minute errands before the big move, borrowed vintage Italian sunglasses from the boyfriend. They have the perfect fade and weight to them. Also I pulled out an old favorite thrift store find. The necklace reminds me of miniature spoons.

I'm not usually a big fan of velvet but this is really good and I think I'm attracted more to the complete outfit. The colors in the actual photograph make it look kinda magical.
